We had the pleasure of first meeting Tonic (or Ton Ton as he is affectionately known) in November of 2005 when we saw him racing around Carol Hibbert's paddock and thought wouldn't he make a lovely all round pony for our 12year old, Jordy.
Not having ever had anything to do with New Forest Ponies we didn't really know what to expect, but from the first ride we knew that they must be a very special and versatile breed. Tonic is the most loving, caring and honest pony we have ever known with such a big personality. He is always the first to come running for a hug or just to see what we might be doing around the house.
In the short time we have had Tonic he has competed in everything from Dressage, Showjumping, Interschool Events and showing and takes everything you ask him in his stride. He regularly attends Pony Club and enjoys racing around the cross country and splashing in the water jump.
We have discovered that he loves to jump and Jordy's jumping instructor will often say that he was sure Tonic was 16.2hh Thoroughbred in his previous life!
My daughter Jordy never comes home from a competition without a ribbon and at shows always comes home with a champion.
We would like to thank Carol for breeding such a special pony and for giving us the opportunity to call him ours. He is has become a very special member of our family.
